In case you didn’t know, MSNBC.com has recently been redesigned. I’m going to leave the qualitative design critique to the designers, but I thought I’d point out a few glitches that speak to a larger problem.
All my technical explanations are inferences — I’m lazy and I don’t feel like digging through the site’s multiple style sheets.
Flash ads are the new (old) scourge of the web.
I’m right there with this person — ads that overlay the content make me leave without reading the content. Fortunately I use Safari most of the time, so I haven’t seen any of these for a while.
Things have been quiet around here lately because Mike and I have been in rapid development mode, building a blog for Seed Media called Sciencegate.
Sciencegate will be covering the ideas and deeds of the G8 summit in Scotland, from on-site and from around the world. Even before the summt has begun, the blog has a running start, and very interesting stuff has already been post.
The blog is WordPress-based, and reminded me how simple it is to skin a WordPress site. I need to work on my own.
