The main hall's walls are beautifully curved concrete structures, but they've been clad in wood to give a perception of acoustical 'warmth' even though installing wood against a hard surface like that doesn't really change the acoustics. (if I remember right the hall's acoustics are not rated very highly - not necessarily the fault of the materials; good acoustics are incredibly hard and presumably Gehry's aesthetics added complexity to a difficult problem) This reminds me of an anecdote I read somewhere about Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA.
